It all starts when you decide to take that first step, toward looking and feeling the way you want.
Because when you look and feel great, it boosts your confidence, and with confidence, you can conquer the world!
So, that’s why I put together my 5 top steps to age like a rebel…
1) Lose weight = Feel great.
Eat responsibly. Not just for your body but for your soul.
It’s a myth that as you age, you are doomed to walking around with extra body fat.
True, your body changes. It is harder to gain muscle, more prone to injury, and sometimes when you age, you tolerate carbs a little less…
But it is still possible to lose weight!
Workouts can be adapted, physical therapy and relaxation techniques can be learned, and diets can be changed.
Even a small change in the way you eat can be a huge step towards getting you the body that you want.

2) Wear the fashions you want to wear.
Ok, maybe you’re past the day of wearing those “butt cheek shorts” and a crop top, that doesn’t mean you can’t wear slimming, attractive styles.
Wearing the fashions that we love, that feel like us, goes a long way to helping us feel confident and look & feel attractive.
You can look youthful, and feel confident in a nice pair of well-fitting, or even skinny jeans (if you can rock ‘em) and hip sneakers.
Leather jackets, um, of course! You’re a rebel after all.
You have the right to look good and feel confident!
3) Take care of your skin.
Look…time is a bitch! You can’t stop it, especially when it comes to your skin.
But, you can take care of all that beautiful skin, using simple methods.
Use serums that address whatever your specific concerns may be. Feel free to layer them on top of each other.
WEAR SPF DAILY. The only thing worse on skin than time…is the sun.
Try out a skin treatment to freshen up dull skin, make it glossy, tighter and vibrant again.
Just do whatever feels right to you and makes you happy!
And don’t let anyone judge you.
I know, you think you’re too old. And too weak. Or you might get injured…
But the secret is: strength training is great while aging.
Strength training forces your body to retain the muscles that we are naturally losing when you age.
You aren’t going to end up looking like 23 year old Arnold Schwarzenegger, but you’ll feel stronger, more youthful, and keep active.
Plus, muscle mass can reduce the risk of osteoporosis, diabetes, arthritis, and other diseases that make aging harder.
And oh yah…it keeps your skin tight!
Even walking is great.

5) Manage your stress.
Stress is a killer, literally.
You have to make an active effort to reduce stress in your life.
Yoga and meditation can reduce stress levels in your body (this is an app I LOVE for meditation: Insight Timer
Putting your phone down before you lay down in bed (long before), shutting down all the screens (while you’re at it).
Get more sleep. Forget that late afternoon caffeine.
Also, re-read step #4. Exercise reduces stress!
You have so many avenues to reduce stress daily, just don’t get stressed out by the options!
