You are not your thoughts.
That’s not an easy concept to understand, or buy into…
But it’s true, and really living it could be the thing that finally starts you on the path to lasting weight loss!
Up until now (or even as you’re reading this), you probably feel like your thoughts are out of your control.
That they are something happening to you, and that you have to experience them, or worse, suffer through them.
It’s what I used to think.
Your Thoughts Are Wrong
That I would have to struggle with the things I was saying in my own head. Until I finally broke the hamster wheel, and realized…
- You’re not crazy…
- You are not a failure…
- You’re not ill, and you’re not to blame…
You are a warrior. And you deserve to hear the thoughts that champion that.
I’m not telling you this to make you feel bad because you aren’t having those thoughts.
Your brain has been conditioned to think acceptance is outside of you, aka people pleasing.
It hasn’t practiced being okay with aloneness, and more importantly, to accept yourself.
You have not been taught to empower yourself and to feel empowered.
Society, media, teachers, parents, friends and family all contributed to this.
Teaching us that we need to seek from the outside…
- Medicine to heal any symptom…
- Food to soothe any feeling…
- Sex & relationships to distract from any emotion…
Not to mention shopping to excess, alcohol abuse, gambling addiction…the list of distractions is endless!
You don’t even have to suffer from those. You can hide in plain sight!
It is so common for women to use dedication to family as a smoke-screen to neglect themselves.
Does this sound like you (or someone you know)…
“How can I make it to the gym twice a week for an hour each time, when I have carpools, meetings, work, and a house and a family to keep running?!”
But all you have to do is choose yourself, just like you choose those other priorities.
Wake Up From The Wheel
Choose to wake up, and by waking up, you can change your life and change your weight.
You are not your thoughts…
And you don’t have to keep believing in those outside things, you can choose the strength that is in you.
Stop being a passenger in your own mind, and take back the driver seat.
Become the observer of those thoughts, and choose the thoughts that make you powerful!
You must learn to embrace the darkness rather than running away from it. And to become comfortable with the stillness.
Peace is internal and it is within you.
Get out of the hamster wheel. Focus on the stillness within you and remember that you are enough.
Get in touch with me so we can get you to the place where your healing will begin.
