To recover from Bulimia, the Universe gave me Lyme disease.
The light of Lyme. It changed my life in so many ways. Positive.
I am a Power House.
Now you know I have been struggling with my weight my whole life. Up and down it went. Gaining some and losing some.
October 2012, was the year I discovered the Keto Diet. I can tell you that I loved it. And still do.
I am a foodie. I love to eat.
All my life I had been denying myself of all those rich fatty foods.
Because fat made you fat right? And now I could eat fats and loose fats, really? Are you kidding me? Bacon and eggs? Yes please. Fat is Back.
Easier said than done.
After 2 weeks of Keto, I would go full on into a binge eating episode.
I loved the Keto diet, but it was too restrictive. I wanted to eat ice cream. I wanted to eat donuts. And I wanted to eat fries with mayonnaise.
I blew up in 2015. I felt so unhappy and so stuck in my body. I was a fashionista (still am), but felt nothing looked good on me anymore. Eating carbs every day didn’t sit well in my body either. I was pre diabetic, a result from Lyme disease.
Lowering the carbs was the answer for me.
Another trial of Keto, binge.
December 5, big Christmas Party at our house. I was in the middle of another Keto trial.
Catering Party foods. I was “being perfect” during the party. Vodka, nuts, and meat was all I had.
Day after: hung over. A house full off left overs. At 4 pm I broke down. WTF.
I ate all the carbs, and more, and some more.
December 7: I was brave enough to leave the binge behind, and move back onto the most healthy lifestyle out there for me, Keto.
Thursday December 10, first thing in the morning, looking in the mirror. As I always did at the time. Checking myself out 10x a day. Telling myself I was fat.
But hey. Hey I looked a bit leaner. Wow. What did I do different?
I did Keto, had a huge binge, then went back on Keto.
Wow. There must be some weight loss science behind that?!
I started researching, and yes there was a science behind big carb refeeds.
I hired a coach, lost weight with a combination of Keto and huge weekly Carb refeeds.
I am very happy. I feel very good. I am very happy with my body. The Lyme is gone.
The limiting beliefs are gone. I gained Freedom around food and social situations.
I have this Power within me I never knew I had.
Weight loss, and keeping it off, made my life so much easier.
Plus I don’t have to workout every day anymore.
I found myself back, and my life. And there is my why.
This lifestyle is so amazing that I decided that I want to make your body and your life amazing. Plus, I always had a passion anything nutrition/fitness. Canadians, remember the tv show X-Weighed, early 2000’s? I was addicted to that show. So yeah, this is my passion.
It is so rewarding that I can be of help transforming bodies and lives. That’s my why.
Life, food and everything around it can be so much easier. It seems sometimes like the media, and health people want us women to suffer. And we don’t have to. You can achieve a slim body, without feeling sad, and miserable.
You can have and easy life, and look amazing. I am that proof. You can be that proof too.
